THE HEAD BOARD SHOP WILL HOST PITTSBURGH’S ONLY PREMEIRE OF FALLEN FOOTWEAR’S ‘RIDE THE SKY’.
That's right THIS FRIDAY! Come to Head Board Shop on Friday September 5th, 2008, 8PM.
THE FIRST SHOWING WILL BE AT 8PM (ALL AGES) AT THE HEAD BOARD SHOP. FREE PIZZA AND BEVERAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE, WITH FREE GIVE AWAY’S AND PRIZES. THE SECOND SHOWING WILL BE AT 10PM AT RUGGER’S PUB (21 AND OVER), 40 SOUTH 22ND STREET ON THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTHSIDE. REPORTED BUT UNVERIFIED IS THAT RUGGER’S WILL BE SERVING UP SOME AWESOME DRINK SPECIALS DURING THE PREMIERE. PRODUCED BY JAMIE THOMAS, ‘RIDE THE SKY’ IS SURE TO BE FULL OF HUGE SET’S AND AMAZING STUNTMEN STYLE RUNS. WITH SEVERAL ZERO VIDEO’S UNDER HIS BELT ‘RIDE THE SKY’ IS TO BE JAMIE’S MOST AMBITIOUS PRODUCTION TO DATE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE IT WILL BE HESH TO THE HILT AND THE TRICKS SO RIDICULOUS IT WILL LEAVE US WITH OUR JAW DROPPED WONDERING ALOUD “HOW THE F@*K DID HE DO THAT?” THE VIDEO IS REPORTED TO BE A WHOPPING 50 MINUTES LONG WITH FULL PART’S FOR THE ENTIRE FALLEN TEAM. I ASSURE YOU WE'RE OPEN!
Due to a sad, stupid mistake on Verizon's part (our distinguished phone company) they mistakenly turned our phone off for no reason what so ever. We pay our bill, we even just added a new service to our phone line, and this may be the reason thay accidentally turned our phone off. They also did the same thing to Rothrock's Kung Fu, the business four doors down from us. There is someone manning the shop (We are OPEN!): - Friday Aug 29th, 2008 from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Sat Aug 30th from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Sunday Aug 31st, 2008 we're open from 11:30 am until 4:00 pm
- even on Labor Day Sept 1st 2008, we're open from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm!
- Tues. Sept. 2nd, 2008 we're open from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Wed. Sept. 3rd, 2008 we're open from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Thurs. Sept. 4th, 2008 we're open from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Fri. Sept. 5th, 2008 we're open from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm
- Repeat, you get the idea right?
So come on down to the South Side and bring your cash. To Verizon you suck, can you here me now? You still suck. How 'bout now, can you hear me now?

Head Board Shop Presents - Go Skate Day Shinnanigans!
Go Skate Day is June 21st, which is quickly approaching! Come down to Head Board Shop on East Carson Street in the South Side (Inbetween 23rd and 24th streets for over 15 years!) for a day of giveaways and retro skating.

I think this go skate day we should go as old school as possible, full on high top, shorts, grind-o-rama, hella concave, square tail; I am watching H-Street "Shackle Me Not" right at this very moment, but I still think this is the greatest idea ever. we should really bring it back for the youth. I'm talkin' about shorts and hip packs (least that's what I call them, when I'm wearin' 'em). I'm talkin' OLD SCHOOL as hell. Everyone has to have an old school deck an fully do no comply, kickflip, shove it, every boneless variation possible. I'm just brainstormin' here, but I think we should have an old school demo - Shawn will re-learn Ho-Ho's!, Andy will Chinese Ollie! Co will Boneless 360! Kyle will cave man anything!!!! OK, I guess I'm getting a little a head of myself here, but lets do this, for real. Screening old school videos and just a more fun style old school - go skate day attitude, I think will get us far with the underground skate scene - which is all of us, after all. If you have some Tracker trucks right now, I Want You! I want to hear any and all of your ideas on this, and we can do whatever you want.
OK, you got me, I'm a little wasted, and it's late, but, I really think this would be fun, and we should do it.

Dirty Sunshine - 4 Days in Austin!
Head Board Shop riders Mike Hickey and Brandon Ziskind have documented Mike Hickey's trip to Austin, TX in the video Dirty Sunshine.
Jurgen Koch (Self-Portrait) has done it again! This short video may be a portent of good things to come.
